President: Steve Simala Grant
Steve Simala Grant has lived in Terwillegar Towne for five years, and is well-known to many of you already. Having served on the Board of the Terwillegar Community League for the past four years, the last two as its President, Steve is well-versed in the myriad issues that are important to our neighbourhood. He brings a wealth of experience in governance and project planning from his service on various boards and committees. No stranger to time-management, Steve juggles a busy schedule filled with volunteer duties, further education, an active young family and his work as a Pastor. His church is near the Valley Zoo, so don't even talk to him about the Quesnell Bridge! Traffic issues are just one of the many items on your President's radar.

Vice President: Rob Pedersen
Rob Pederson is a veritable fountain of knowledge when it comes to T-Towne. In fact, he knows our community inside and out. As the owner of a framing company, Rob has done a lot of work in our area since the development started, and he has really enjoyed watching our unique neighborhood take shape over the years. Rob's family were among the first residents in South Terwillegar, and now their beautifully landscaped garden is a landmark on their street. Now in his fourth year with the TTRA, Rob is a valuable source of historical information. An avid gardener, he takes particular interest in the work undertaken to improve our green spaces.

Treasurer: Catherine Williams
Catherine Williams moved into Terwillegar Towne when she got married, little knowing that she would soon feel wedded to the community as well. The breadth of knowledge Catherine brings to her role includes Board governance, event planning, budgets, newsletters, and hiring contractors. Working from a firm belief that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing it right, she has already tackled our finance and landscape management issues on several fronts. When Catherine signed up for the Board, you actually got a ‘two for", as her husband has also volunteered many hours on the Landscape Maintenance committee.

Secretary: Linda Wilde
Linda Wilde and her husband rediscovered the T-Towne area two years ago during an afternoon of house-hunting, and had a new address South Terwillegar the next day! Linda has a broad spectrum of management experience in both business and charitable organizations. As a writer specializing in non-profit policies and procedures, she understands the need for attention to small detail, but what Linda truly enjoys is developing the big picture. She is really excited about the ambitious goals the Board has set for the coming year, and the opportunity to play a part in future planning.

Director at Large: Gilda Stalker
Gilda Stalker has been a Terwillegar Towne resident for five years, and takes an active interest in the community her family calls home. She takes on her role as a Director with both enthusiasm and a willingness to do whatever hands-on work arises. Currently, Gilda works at the University of Alberta, and her prior work experience was in an emergency room, which might come in handy in a household with four lively teenagers! From these varied backgrounds she offers a fresh perspective on topics at the board table, and triage tactics for sorting out the many tasks we have ahead.

Director at Large: Andrew Tarnowski
Andrew Tarnowski has lived in Terwillegar Towne for two years. Now retired after a career in agriculture sales and service, Andrew is contributing his time and energy to further the Board's efforts in our community. While Andrew and his wife enjoy a bit of traveling when time permits, they find year-round pleasure in exploring the charming neighbourhood right outside their door.  Having served on a condo association board for a few years, Andrew is well aware of the various property management issues we face, and of the vital role all residents play in preserving our attractive surroundings.

Director at Large: Lori McCurdy
Lori McCurdy still remembers how excited she was on the day she moved from her west-end condo into her new home in South Terwillegar. That was in June 2006, and now she truly has a vested interest in her neighbourhood. This year Lori got married, renovated her house, and joined the TTRA Board! She brings with her a heaping measure of experience on boards and committees, along with her practical knowledge in policy development, human resources, project and condo management, and communications. Lori is also a competitive curler. Yes, she's the one yelling "hurry hard!" when her husband is sweeping snow off the sidewalk.

Director at Large: Celia Freitas
Celia Freitas was barely settled into her new home three years ago, before finding herself involved in her condo association. Next thing you know, she was on the TTRA Board, where she is pleased to be serving for another term this year. Celia's work as a Language teacher extends beyond the classroom, and she brings her practical experience with planning, communications and committees to her volunteer role. With the recent arrival of their first baby, Celia and her husband feel firmly rooted in T-Towne, and especially enjoy being able to take the stroller out for long walks through our friendly neighbourhood.
